Wedding dress at the Museum in Strzyżów
Zygmunt Leśniak Local Museum of Strzyżów County will present one of the dresses from our collection at the nearest exhibition.
The wedding dress from around 1908 will be exhibited in the museum from 21 May 2016.
The dress is made mostly of silk satin. Bodice is richly decorated with lace. The front of the skirt is made of light muslin. Decoration made of flower wax garlands particularly emphasizes the wedding nature of the dress. They surround the edge of the skirt and adorn the bodice. The gown of this type was worn on a long corset, slimming the figure to the hips. Dresses from the end of the first and the beginning of the second decade of the 20th century correspond to costumes from the early 19th century.
